The Sutton Four Oaks council ward is in north-east Birmingham,
roughly seven miles from the city centre. It is flanked by the
Sutton Vesey ward,
the Sutton Trinity
ward, the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall and the counties
of Staffordshire and Warwickshire. The Sutton Four Oaks ward
contains the areas of Four
Oaks and Mere Green. |

There are approximately 24,000 people resident in the Sutton
Four Oaks ward.

Mere Green on the east side of the ward contains a large number
of medium-sized semi-detached homes with comparatively large
front and rear gardens. There are also terraced cottages with
long narrow gardens, low-rise flats and detached executive
housing. Four Oaks on the east side of Sutton Park was
developed as an exclusive Edwardian estate of detached mansions
set in extensive grounds.
Hill Hook to the north of Sutton Park is characterised by
low-density terraces, detached houses and semi-detached pairs.
The rate of owner occupation is 87%. Roughly 4% of homes are
rented from private landlords and 8% from the local authority or
housing associations. |
