Druids Heath is an area of south Birmingham in the Brandwood ward, roughly six miles from the city centre. The surrounding areas are Brandwood, Lifford, Warstock, the Three Estates, Kings Norton Village and the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire. The area was farmed by the Drews family from the Middle Ages until the mid-19th century. It was developed as a housing estate in the 1960's whereupon the name was changed from Drews Heath to Druids Heath. The housing estate, which was completed in the 1970's, contains low-rise flats, maisonettes, terraced houses and fourteen residential tower blocks.
