Overview
 
Brindleyplace is a 37-acre mixed-use development in Westside.

It has frontages on Broad Street and on the Birmingham and Worcester Canal, opposite the International Convention Centre and National Indoor Arena.

Brindleyplace is centred on three squares: Central, Oozells and Brunswick and contains a wharfside boulevard called Waters Edge.

The Oozells Loop, surveyed by James Brindley in the 1770's, runs through Brindleyplace.

Brindleyplace contains bars, eateries, retail units, twelve office blocks, a health club, hotel, multi-storey car park, gated residential community and the National Sealife Centre, Crescent Theatre and Ikon Gallery.

Waters Edge @ Brindleyplace
 
Waters Edge is a wharf on the Birmingham and Worcester Canal in Brindleyplace.

It is connected by two footbridges to the International Convention Centre and Centenary Square on the opposite bank.

Waters Edge is lined by bars, eateries and retail units.

These include: Cafe Rouge, Carluccios, Pizza Express, Mash House, Shogun Teppanyaki, Handmade Burger, Slug & Lettuce, Pitcher & Piano, All Bar One, Zen.

Central Square @ Brindleyplace
 
Central Square is a 90-metre tree-lined pedestrian plaza in Brindleyplace, Westside.

It is paved in York stone and contains a 38-jet fountain, a modern sculpture in the form of an aqueduct, and an innovative glass-and-steel cafe with an eye-shaped footprint.

It is flanked by Two, Five, Six and Seven Brindleyplace.

Oozells Square @ Brindleyplace
 
Oozells Square is a pedestrian plaza at Brindleyplace, Westside.

It is dominated by the neo-Gothic 19th century Oozells Street Board School which contains the Ikon Art Gallery and cafe.

The square also contains a modern sculpture consisting of a diagonal channel of still water lined by cherry trees, stone seats and a pergola.

Brunswick Square
 
Brunswick Square is a pedestrian plaza at Brindleyplace, Westside.

It contains the Mint Hotel and serviced apartments by Saco.

The square has vehicular access via Brunswick Street which features a multi-storey car park and a shopping arcade with Baguette du Monde, Spar and Boots outlets.

The National Sealife Centre is a canalside attraction at Birndleyplace, Westside.

It faces the National Indoor Arena and the Malt House pub on the opposite bank and overlooks the Old Turn Canal Junction.

There are eleven office blocks at Brindleyplace:

1) One Brindleyplace (1995) is a red-brick 5-storey building fronting Broad Street with 68,553 square feet of office space, a corner turret, glazed atrium and 134 parking spaces.

2) Two Brindleyplace (1997) is a 7-storey building facing Central Square with 75,000 square metres of office space, a double-height entrance, colonnade and 30-metre atrium. It is occupied by Lloyds TSB.

3) Three Brindleyplace (1998) is a 7-storey red-brick building with a classical facade and clocktower; tenants include Regus, GVA Grimley and Watson Wyatt;

4) Four Brindleyplace (1999) overlooks Central Square and the Birmingham and Wolverhampton Canal; it has a full-height glazed facade and 114,000 square feet of office space; tenants include Deloitte, Mercer Human Resources, Vail Williams and Core.

5) Five Brindleyplace (1997) contains 120,000 square feet of office space; it is the regional headquarters of BT.

6) Six Brindleyplace (2000) faces both Central Square and Oozells Square; tenants include the Royal Bank of Scotland.

7) Seven Brindleyplace (2004) is a 7-storey building facing Central Square; it was built for the Royal Bank of Scotland and contains 85,000 square feet of office space.

8) Eight Brindleyplace (2002) is a 13-floor building; the first 8 floors contain 90,000 square feet of office space currently occupied by the Royal Bank of Scotland; the upper 5 floors contain 35 luxury apartments.

9) Nine Brindleyplace (1999) fronts both Broad Street and Oozells Square; it contains 53,000 square feet of office space, a central courtyard and 60 parking places.

10) Ten Brindleyplace (2004) is a 9-storey building facing Broad Street with 62,000 square feet of office space; tenants include NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

11) Eleven Brindleyplace is a 12-storey mixed-use building.

Symphony Court @ Brindleyplace
 
Symphony Court is a gated residential canalside development containing 143 houses and apartments off Sheepcote Street in Brindleyplace, Westside.

It is linked by footbridge to the National Indoor Arena, the National Sealife Centre and the multi-storey car park on Brunswick Street.

Travelling by Car to Brindleyplace
 
Travel towards Birmingham city centre from any direction and turn onto the A4540 Ring Road.

Leave the Ring Road at the Five Ways gyratory and turn onto Broad Street (A456). From there turn left onto Sheepcote Street and then right onto Brunswick Street and into the Brindleyplace multi-storey car park.

Alternatively turn off the A4540 Ring Road at Spring Hill and take the A457 to Paradise Circus. From there turn onto Broad Street (A456) and then left onto Sheepcote Street and right onto Brunswick Street and into the Brindleyplace multi-storey car park.
