The Lozells and Soho Hill Conservation Area contains a largely
mid-Victorian townscape of well-built terraced houses, many of
which have stucco facades, slate roofs, canted bay windows,
moulded cornices and pilastered doorways. The designated area
also includes the Tudor-style Convent of Our Lady (circa 1840)
on Hunters Road, the Gothic Revival church of St Silas (circa
1854) on Church Street and the Venetian Gothic Santon Works on
Soho Hill (circa 1910). It also includes Soho House, the
former home of pioneer industrialist Mathew Boulton. This
website contains an
index of listed
buildings in the Lozells and Soho Hill Conservation Area. |
