Greenfield Road Conservation Area

The Greenfield Road Conservation Area is on the south side of Harborne High Street. It includes Greenfield Road, St Marys Road, Margaret Road, Ethel Road and parts of Vivian Road, Bull Street, South Street, York Street, Metchley Lane and Harborne Park Road.

The designated area is suburban in character and contains a broad range of architectural styles reflecting its formation through the piecemeal development of rural land strips from the early 19th century onwards.

The housing stock ranges from Victorian agricultural cottages to medium-sized Edwardian terraces, semi-detached pairs, Gothic townhouses and arts and crafts villas. There are also occasional shops, some of which have retained their original historic fronts.

Listed buildings include Harborne Methodist Church (1868) on South Street.
