The Bournville Tenants Conservation Area off Middleton Hall Road in Cotteridge is an urban village built by the Bournville Tenants Limited in the early 1900's.

The tenants, who were sponsored by George Cadbury, laid out their village as an extension to the low-density model village that the Cadburys had built in Bournville.

The housing mainly consists of large semi-detached pairs and short terraces with small front and exceptionally long rear gardens.

Many of these properties were designed in the Edwardian arts and crafts style. Three acres at the centre of the development were left vacant for playing fields.
