St Andrews is an all-seater football stadium with a capacity of
30,079 in the Bordesley/Small Heath area of east Birmingham, roughly two
miles from the city centre. It has been the home ground of Birmingham
City FC since 1906. |

The stadium consists of four stands: Tilton, Gil Merrick,
Garrison Lane and Main Kop. The Gil Merrick Stand is behind
the west goal. Built in 1999, it
is a two-tier stand with an overhanging upper gallery and a
capacity of 7,500; the Camp Hill Freight Railway Line runs
alongside this stand.
The Garrison Lane Stand is behind the north touchline; it was
built in 1955 and has a capacity of around 5,500; there are
plans to rebuild this stand with an increased capacity of 15,500
and possibly a hotel

The Tilton Stand and the Kop Main Stand were built as one
continuous L-shaped structure in 1994; they contain a total of
around 17,000 seats. The Tilton Stand is behind the east goal
nearest Tilton Road; the Kop Main Stand is behind the south touchline, nearest Coventry Road. |

There are 9 main hospitality suites at Saint Andrews: 1) The
Legends Lounge in the Kop Main Stand can hold 350
reception-style; it has a private bar, commands views of east
Birmingham and is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies.
2) The Jasper Carrot Suite in the Kop Main Stand can hold 250
reception-style; it commands views of east Birmingham and the
football pitch; it has a private bar and an open-plan layout
with a dance floor option and is licensed to hold civil
ceremonies.
3) The Boardroom in the Kop Main Stand can hold 60
reception-style; it is suitable for small formal dinners,
presentations and business meetings.
4) The Boardroom Club in the Kop Main Stand can hold 150
reception-style; it has a private bar and is suitable for small
exhibitions, receptions and dinner parties.
5) The International Suite in the Kop Main Stand can hold 140
reception-style; it is suitable for formal dinners,
presentations and meetings and contains a collection of
international shirts worn by Blues players.
6) The 1875 Suite in the Kop Main Stand can hold 160
reception-style; it has an open-space plan and wooden flooring
and contains a
private bar and the club trophy cabinet. It is often
used as a breakout room for events held at the International
Suite.
7) The Wiseman Suite in the Garrison Lane Stand can hold 160
reception-style; it has a private entrance, bar and washroom and
is suitable for small business meetings, parties etc.
8) The Trevor Francis Suite in the Garrison Road Stand can
hold 160 reception style; it has its own entrance and private
bar and is suitable for informal groups, team meetings and
lunches.
9) The Captain's Club in the Garrison Lane Stand can hold 80
reception-style; it has a private entrance, bar, washroom
and reception area.
10) The 1875 Bar in the Tilton Stand can hold 160
reception-style; it is suitable for private parties and
celebrations.

Executive Boxes @ St Andrews

The executive boxes at Saint Andrews command panoramic views of
the football pitch and are suitable for business meetings,
seminars etc.
The boxes are located at the back of the Kop Main Stand, at
the back of the lower tier of the Gil Merrick Stand and across
the middle of the Garrison Lane Stand.
The boxes generally come in two sizes: the small boxes can
hold up to 10 people and the large boxes can hold up to 20. |

St Andrews is located in a deprived inner city area
characterised by pre-1919 terraced streets and modern housing
estates built on derelict industrial estate. Local landmarks
include a 57-metre block of flats called Pritchetts Tower (1971)
on Arthur Street and a 30 metre Edwardian red-brick and
terracotta tower at Small Heath Library (now the Green Lane
Mosque).
St Andrews Church, which was built in 1846 on St Andrews
Road, was demolished in 1984. |

There are four pubs within roughly 400 metres of St Andrews
Stadium. The Cricketers Arms is at 48 Little Green Lane (250 metres), St
Andrews Tavern is at 61-63 Green Lane (300 metres), the
Brighton Arms is at 356 Coventry Road (400 metres) and the
Garrison is at 110 Garrison Lane (400
metres).
Visiting fans may prefer to visit the pubs in the city centre
and then travel by bus/car to St Andrews for the match.

There are numerous eateries on the Coventry Road, roughly 150
metres to 400 metres from the stadium.
These include Dixie's Chicken, Caspian Pizza, the Romeo Kebab and Fish Bar,
Greggs Bakery, the Gogis Kebab and Balti House, the Bader
Restaurant, and the Al Samah Kitchen.
Visiting fans may prefer to dine in the city centre and then
travel by bus/car to St Andrews for the match.

There is a Morrison's superstore on the Coventry Road, barely
200 metres from the stadium. The main shopping centre for
Small Heath is also on the Coventry Road, barely 400 metres from
the stadium; the stores are mainly small independents. |

Saint Andrews By Car

The stadium is 250 metres from Bordesley Circus at the junction
of the A45 and A4540 Middle Ring Road.
At Junction 6 of the M6 (Spaghetti Junction) take the A38M Aston
Expressway which terminates at Dartmouth Circus on the Middle
Ring Road; from there, you can continue on the ring road to
Bordesley Circus.
Alternatively you can take the A45 at Junction 6 of the M42, but
then you must travel another 11 kilometres through east
Birmingham before arriving at Bordesley Circus.

The stadium car park contains around 200 spaces that are
reserved on match days. There is a small overfill car park on
Garrison Lane and some kerbside parking in the surrounding
streets although kerbside parking may annoy local residents.

Adderley Road South, roughly 800 metres from the stadium
