area within the Ladywood ward
and is flanked by Digbeth, the
Business Quarter,
Eastside,
Westside and
Southside.
The Retail Quarter is centred on the Bullring, Corporation Street,
New Street and High Street.
It contains the Bullring
malls and
markets, the
Pavilion and
Pallasades retail malls and Martineau and
Priory Square
shopping centres.
According to real estate brokers Cushman and Wakefield, Birmingham
High Street commands an average annual retail rent of £275 per square
foot, the highest outside London
