University Railway Station is on the
Cross City
Line, the
Birmingham-Cardiff Line, the
Birmingham-Hereford
Line and the
Birmingham-Nottingham Line. The station, which overlooks
the Birmingham and Worcester Canal, serves the Edgbaston campus
of the University of Birmingham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The annual passenger usage is around 1.25
million. The facilities include two platforms, sheltered
seating and a payphone.
Trains bound for New Street generally stop every 10 minutes
during the daytime and every 20 minutes in the evening from
Monday to Saturday and at 30 minute intervals on Sunday. |
