Curzon Junction

Curzon Junction is a major rail junction in Eastside.

It is located above the Digbeth Branch Canal, one kilometre east of New Street Station, and connects the Cross City Line and West Coast Mainline.

Curzon Junction is barely 200 metres from old Curzon Station: a disused neo-classical building in the Ionic Style which was built as the original terminus of the London-Birmingham Railway in 1838.

HS2

There are plans to build a new Curzon Street Station as the Birmingham HS2 terminus.

It will be built alongside the existing line, immediately to the west of Curzon Junction, and will incorporate the old Curzon Station building, possibly as a secondary entrance (see Eastside Regeneration Map).
