The Hakuna Matata is a nightclub at Dale End in the Retail Quarter. It was raided by police in the early hours of Saturday 26th February 2011; 6 people were arrested for drugs offences and one for a public order offence; a loaded handgun, cannabis, ecstasy, white powder and several knives were seized (News Archive 27/02/11). The Licensing Committee allowed this club to re-open in March 2011 on the condition that door staff were vetted by police (News Archives 25/03/11). |
