The Hall Green constituency, whose boundaries were revised in
June 2006, consists of the
Sparkbrook,
Springfield,
Hall Green and
Moseley &
Kings Heath council wards. Only one of these wards, Hall
Green, formed part of the constituency before the boundary
changes of 2006. Two other wards,
Brandwood and
Billesley, which used
to form part of the Hall Green constituency, have been
transferred to the neighbouring Selly Oak constituency.
Stephen McCabe won Birmingham Hall Green for Labour in 1997
and held the seat in 2001 and 2005; however, he stood down after
the boundary changes in order to contest the neighbouring seat
of Selly Oak.
The current MP is Roger Godsiff who held the seat for Labour
in May 2010. |
