St Georges Housing Estate
St Georges Estate was built in 1960-1971 as council housing for rent.

It is named after St Georges Church, which was demolished to make room for the estate, and is centred on its former churchyard, now a park.

The 30-acre estate consists of low-rise flats, maisonettes, terraced houses and 9 tower blocks.
