It is an Edwardian building containing 214 ensuite rooms, each with television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities etc. Wi-fi is available in public areas.

There are 10 conference, meeting and banqueting rooms that can accommodate up to 200 delegates.

Guests can dine at Jenny's Restaurant, a carvery with an open-plan kitchen, or meet for drinks and a cold snack at the hotel bar Harveys.

The hotel does not have its own parking so guests generally use the chargeable car park above New Street Station.

The hotel contains 118 bedrooms equipped with independently-controlled comfort-cooling and furnished in a range of styles from contemporary minimalist to Victorian splendour.

A £2 million refurbishment of this hotel, which created three additional rooms on the 5th storey, was completed in July 2010 (News Archive 27/07/10).
