Firefighters attended a basement blaze that started in the sauna of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Westside, at approximately 10.30am on Thursday 26th May 2011. Guests were evacuated to the International Convention Centre where they remained for around 3 hours until the blaze was extinguished and the hotel could be re-entered (News Headlines 28'05/11).
