The headquarters of West Midlands Fire Service is on Vauxhall Road, Duddeston, Nechells.

The fire service vacated its former HQ on Lancaster Circus, Eastside, and moved to Vauxhall Road in 2009.

Its operations support, technical services, communications, human resources, finance and IT departments are based there.

The site also contains the Safeside Centre which provides public information about safety at home, on the road, waterways and railways and raises awareness of drug and alcohol abuse, personal safety and the consequences of crime and anti-social behaviour.

The reception area contains a statue of a Victorian fireman rescuing a young girl.
