It is the main sorting office for the Royal Mail in Birmingham and employs around 1400 staff.

Designed by PCPT Architects, it won the Industrial Bespoke Category at the Business and Industrial Agents Development of the Year Awards 2011.

It has a footprint of 25,000 square metres and contains a main hall, offices, canteen, service and circulation areas.

The main hall contains 8 integrated mail processors and 10 sorting machines that can handle a total throughput of 300,000 letters per hour.
