| 16.09.10: Highgate Sniper: Suspect Arrested |
| A man who shoots at people with an airgun from Wilmcote Tower has been dubbed the Highgate Sniper. He shot a boy aged 12 in the arm and a woman aged 20 in the calf on Upper Highgate Street on Monday 23/08/10. He may also have injured other people and damaged parked cars (News Headlines 01/09/10). | 31.08.10: B515 Gang Leaders Banned from Highgate |

Leaders of the B515 street gang, who live in Ladywood, have been
identified and served with ASBOs, prohibiting them from entering
Highgate. The gang, whose members ride BMX bikes and wear black
and white bandanas, are suspected of drug dealing, vandalism and
assault. They are difficult to control because they ride in
packs of 40+. The leaders appear to be in their twenties but
most members are adolescents and some are as young as 13
