Cash Box Robbery in Yardley
 
A thief stole a cashbox from a security guard making a collection from Farmfoods on the Coventry Road in Yardley at approximately 1.20pm on Thursday 16/12/10. He escaped in a car driven by an accomplice but two 22 year-old suspects were subsequently arrested after their vehicle crashed on Amington Road in Tyseley.

A man aged 21 tried to steal a cash box from a security guard delivering to Lloyds TSB on the Coventry Road in Sheldon on Thursday 16/12/10. He was overpowered by members of the public and handed over to the police.

Soho Road Robber Still At Large
 
The police are still searching for a 38-year-old man who together with an accomplice is suspected of mugging a pedestrian at knifepoint on the Soho Road in Handsworth on 1st July 2010. The 47-year-old victim was frogmarched to his home which the thieves then ransacked.

A 28-year-old man from Hall Green was jailed for 10 years for robbery at Birmingham Crown Court in October 2010; he booked appointments with prostitutes working from home so that he could rob them at knifepoint.

Handsworth Carjacker Jailed
 
A 20 year-old Zimbabwe immigrant attempted to carjack a vehicle at the corner of Crocketts Road and Sandwell Road in Handsworth on the evening of Tuesday 01/06/10.

He threatened the driver with an air pistol but she managed to escape and alerted the police who caught the man shortly after he had carjacked another vehicle at gunpoint.

The carjacker was jailed for an indeterminate term at Birmingham Crown Court in September 2010; he must serve a minimum of 3.5 years.
