| A thief stole a cashbox from a security guard making a collection from Farmfoods on the Coventry Road in Yardley at approximately 1.20pm on Thursday 16/12/10. He escaped in a car driven by an accomplice but two 22 year-old suspects were subsequently arrested after their vehicle crashed on Amington Road in Tyseley. |

A 20 year-old Zimbabwe immigrant attempted to carjack a vehicle
at the corner of Crocketts Road and Sandwell Road in Handsworth
on the evening of Tuesday 01/06/10. He threatened the driver with an air pistol but she managed to escape and alerted the police who caught the man shortly after he had carjacked another vehicle at gunpoint. The carjacker was jailed for an indeterminate term at Birmingham Crown Court in September 2010; he must serve a minimum of 3.5 years. |
