Chinatown
Chinatown is a loosely-defined area centred on the Arcadian and four surrounding streets: Bromsgrove Street, Hurst Street, Ladywell Walk and Pershore Street.

This area has been the focus of the Chinese community in Birmingham since migration from Hong Kong in the 1960's.

It was officially designated as the Chinese Quarter in the 1980's when several warehouses were rebuilt in Oriental style.

The Arcadian is by far the largest of these developments.
