It offers undergraduate degrees in Fine Art & Art and Design It also offers postgraduate degrees in
Art and Design; Art, Health and Wellbeing; Arts and Education;
Arts and Project Management; Arts Practice and Education;
Contemporary Curatorial Practice; Digital Arts in Performance;
Fine Art; History of Art and Design; Queer Studies in Art and
Culture. It also offers the BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and
Design and short courses in Art, Ceramics and Figure Drawing. |

Bournville College of Art is at Ruskin Hall on Linden Road in
Bournville. It was endowed by George Cadbury as an arts
and crafts school influenced by the ideas of Victorian
artist and intellectual John Ruskin in 1903.
It contains a gallery called International Project Space that showcases local and contemporary artists.
The college is now a department of the Birmingham Institute of Art and
Design which is in turn a faculty of Birmingham City University.

It is attended by over 7,000 students and consists of 4

Studies
It offers undergraduate courses in Nursing, Midwifery,
Radiography, Health and Wellbeing, Speech and Language,
Paramedic Science and Social Work etc.
It also offers postgraduate courses in Radiography, Public
Health, Mental Health, Pain Management, Health and Social Care
and Medical Ultrasound etc.
And short courses in Health Assessment, Basic Life
Support, Bereavement Counselling, Immunisation and Vaccination,
Intravenous Injection, Sexual Healthcare, Counselling Skills and
Statement Writing etc.
The facilities include a plaster room, a radiotherapy skills
centre, a specialist health education library, a
mock operating theatre, mock patient wards and a birthing room.
A new £2 million radiotherapy, radiography, speech and language
wing, Seacole West, opened in September 2011

Birmingham City University plans to build a new city centre
campus in Eastside. It was originally intended for a 4.1-acre site between Park Street and New Canal
Street but this land is now required for a high-speed railway
station.
The campus will now be built on a smaller site adjoining
Millennium Point and will contain a single building for the
Birmingham Institute of Art and Design

The Pavilion is a conference, events and sports venue on Moor
Lane in Witton. It contains a bar, banqueting suite, function
room, meeting room, first aid room, plasma screens, a floodlit
all-weather pitch, 2 cricket nets, 2 rugby pitches, 12 football
pitches, 22 changing rooms and ample parking.
The Pavilion is managed by SERCO in partnership with

Birmingham City Students Union is headquartered on Franchise
Street at the City North Campus in Perry Barr. It is run by
elected Executive Officers answerable to an elected Student
Council.
The union provides advice, representation and entertainment
and supports clubs, societies and sports teams.
It has its own radio station called Scratch and publishes the
Spaghetti student magazine.
Other facilities include Bar 42, the Student Activities
Centre, the Media Centre, a coffee shop, live venue, common
room, beautician, hair salon and convenience store.
The union also has satellite facilities at the
