The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists is housed in a converted
warehouse on Brook Street, Saint Pauls, Hockley. The society is an independent association of artists
which was established in 1821 and granted a Royal Charter by Queen
Victoria in 1868. Former presidents include John Everett Millais
and Edward Burne-Jones.
The society contains two picture galleries that host visiting
exhibitions by members, friends and associates. It also holds a
permanent collection of 400 or so older works, including
pictures by famous artists such as John Everett Millais and David Cox.
The society also has a craft gallery that displays contemporary
glassware, silverware, ceramics and jewellery.

Saint Paul's is a commercial art gallery housed in a former
warehouse on Northwood Street, Saint Pauls, Hockley. It
specialises in signed pop art, fine art, photography, sculpture
and artefacts. |
